Our Story

With over 30 years of experience as a baker, Moises Pineda “Moy” and his family bring you a delectable selection of artisan baked goods to enjoy. Moy is considered an “international baker”- cakes, breads and pastries have been part of Moy’s life since he lived in Mexico. When he migrated to the United States, he brought with him his love of baking to New York, later, settling roots in Hillsboro, OR.
La Imperial is a family owned business, where family values are a priority and our golden rule. With the importance of upholding these family values Moy and his family make sure to help others in the community as well. Whether is it sponsoring community events or helping other business owners, throughout the years, La Imperial Bakery has immersed itself in the community,  becoming a pillar in Hillsboro.

La Imperial Bakery has grown primarily through word of mouth. Our goal is to create memories at your celebrations through our delightful breads and cakes, whether you are celebrating your child’s first birthday, first communion or wedding, we’re always here to serve you when you have to buy a last minute cake or would like to include your own personal touch which we’ll then bring to life by working with you.
